

The Road to Now
Deer & Dough started out of my old Victorian house in James Bay during the pandemic. I spent my days rolling out pie dough in the kitchen while watching the deer explore my garden, hence the name.

In 2021, I took a leap and moved into a sweet, little brick and mortar shop, a 250 square foot micro-bakery that I loved but quickly outgrew.
In 2024, the new Deer & Dough Bakery Cafe opened at 770 Fisgard Street, offering an expanded food menu, indoor seating and a large city patio. We continue to make everything by hand, with love, and are fortunate to have longtime customers who recall picking up cakes on my front porch ❤️
