

Deer & Dough started out of my old Victorian house in James Bay during the pandemic. I spent my days rolling out pie dough in the kitchen while watching the deer in the garden, hence the name.

In 2023, I took a leap and moved into a sweet, little brick and mortar shop, a tiny micro-bakery that I loved but quickly outgrew. In 2024, the new Deer & Dough Bakery Café opened at 170 Fisgard Street with an expanded food menu, indoor seating and a large city patio.

We still make everything by hand, with love, and are fortunate to have long time customers who still recall picking up cakes on my front porch <3

All of our pastries, breads, and baked goods are made fresh in-house daily by our team of skilled bakers.

Our coffee bar features locally roasted beans and a full espresso menu. We also offer pour-over, cold brew, and a selection of teas.
We offer custom cake decorations for special occasions. Please contact us at least 48 hours in advance to discuss your decoration needs.
